Racing against time is a little bit easier when you have a bullet train on your side.
France has converted one of its high-speed trains into a 200-mile-per-hour hospital to race patients to less overwhelmed regions of the country.
Since last week the triage train has been transporting patients to regions where there are more hospital beds available. The train cars have been outfitted with a full-time medical staff, hospital beds and all the necessary equipment to safely transport over 20 patients at a time.
As cases worldwide continue to grow, governments are doing everything they can to adapt and stay ahead of the game. We applaud the ingenuity of this project and the continued dedication of healthcare workers around the world.
We are all cheering you on!
