A Tanzanian miner named Saniniu Laizer became an overnight millionaire back in June when he found two large Tanzanite stones, valued at over $3 million.

His luck didn’t stop there. 

Mr. Laizer is back in the news after finding a third Tanzanite stone, valued at over $2 million dollars. 

Tanzanite is an extremely rare gemstone that has only been discovered in one place on the planet; northern Tanzania. 

He told the BBC that he plans to build a medical center and school for his community with his newly found fortune.

“I want to build this school near my home. There are many poor people around here who can’t afford to take their children to school,” he said

“I am not educated but I like things to run in a professional way. So I would like my children to run the business professionally,” he added.

Mr. Laizer, who has over 30 children, said these discoveries will not change his lifestyle.

He plans to stay in his community and continue looking after his 2,000 cows.
