Everyone’s familiar with an Impossible Burger at this point. They figured out how to make a plant taste like a cow. Now they’re taking on the pig.

The company responsible, Impossible Foods, announced the pork this week at a trade show in Las Vegas.

But how does the taste compare? You’re simply going to have to visit a Burger King to pick up an Impossible™ Croissan’wich® to see for yourself.

The facts are that the Impossible pork is lower in fat, calories, and cholesterol than its animal-based counterpart. Their plant-pork production uses a fraction of the land and less water. All while simultaneously cutting back on fertilizer and pesticide use.

Taste testers are saying it’s as good as the ‘real thing.’ Here is a video that’s bullish for this type of innovation.
