As the uncertainty continues, we’ve been feeling a little bit disconnected from…well, from everything. We’ve been looking for ways to take care of ourselves, mentally and physically, and find a little happiness along the way.
Giving back to our community, both our online audience (that’s you!) and our local community, has helped feel more connected while social distancing.
Selfless giving to others is scientifically proven to boost our immune systems and benefit our mental health.
So, without further ado, here are some ways for you to join in the fun.
Share your knowledge and skills. Whatever it may be, your expertise can benefit someone. If you’re an artist, start a virtual paint class. Maybe you are a resume’ creating extraordinaire; you could host a webinar. Say you collect beer cans from around the world; start a Facebook group or a forum. Many people are looking for enrichment online and all of us have something to bring to the table.
Build up your friends and family. We all know someone who runs a side hustle or small business. Share their website or blog with your network! Trust us they all need that confidence boost and encouragement right now.
Spread encouraging stories. We do our best to do this, but you can help! Whether it’s one of our stories or something you find somewhere else, blast it out into the world or tag someone who needs to see it. You can transform someone’s entire day just by showing them one story.
