The conversation on mental health has changed for the better in the last decade.

Dozens of celebrities opened up about their battles with mental illness in the 2010s, including Michael Phelps, Lady Gaga, the Rock, and Andre 3000.

Trending discussions on social media covered a range of issues including self-care, therapy, and awareness.

Many public schools now have mandatory classes on mental illness identification, coping, and management strategies.

Recent polls have shown a shift in the public’s perception of mental illness towards acceptance.

1 in 4 people around the world will experience a mental health issue in their lives, this paradigm shift represents an important step in the right direction for everyone.

We still have work to do.

The easiest way to contribute is to simply have a conversation. Whether it’s sharing your own personal experiences, or just listening and accepting a friend’s story.

Together we can educate, support, and work to normalize mental health issues.

Share this with someone who needs to see it.
