Waking up slowly to the sound of chirping birds as the sun warms the earth around us sounds awesome. But, in reality, most of us probably rise to the dreaded sound of a monotone smartphone alarm.

Instead of observing the majesty that is the early morning hours, we bumble through the tasks necessary to get us to work on time, chug a cup of coffee, and sprint out the door (probably forgetting something).

This is not the ideal setup for a happy, productive day.

We know that our brains and bodies are actually built to get after it first thing in the morning.

If you can adopt the small habit of moving your body in the morning, the benefits might surprise you:

  • More Energy
  • Better Focus
  • Increased blood flow
  • Improved mood

So, how do you get started? Our friend, personal trainer, and all-around badass Timmie Standridge has a great morning flow video for you to try.

Check her out here.
