3 Ways to Jump-Start Your Mood

Some days we CRUSH. Other days, it’s more like mush. 

We know that our actions decisions and thoughts all depend on our mindset, but we can’t always self-talk our way out of a slump. 

Here are 3 quick ways to instantly jump start your state of mind.

Breath in through the nose, into the belly, and out of your mouth. Repeat this 30-40 times with no break in between breaths. You may feel a bit lightheaded and tingly at first; this is totally normal and completely harmless. 

Quick Burst of Exercise. You don’t have to spend 30 minutes at the gym to change your mindset. A quick set of squats, push ups, or jumping jacks will increase blood flow to the brain, leaving you feeling more energized and ready to get out of the mush. 

When All Else Fails, Music! There is so much science linking music to mindset that there is a specific branch of neuroscience called neuromusicology dedicated to the study. The right song at the right time can have a massive effect on your motivation. Pump op the tunes and get your glutes in gear.
