A habit-stack is a simple and powerful method of adopting new habits and making them stick!
The formula for a habit stack is simple. All you need to do is consider what habits you have now and what habits you would like to adopt.
Then you plug them into this formula.
After/Before [CURRENT HABIT], I will [NEW HABIT].
Being specific is important here.
For example, if you want to add some gratitude to your daily routine, try After [I Pour myself coffee], I will [List out 3 things I am grateful for in my head].
Or if you want to add some exercise: Before [I wash my hands] I will [do three pushups].
Make sure you start small with your habits. If you try doing 50 pushups before you wash your hands…chances are you either won’t wash your hands all day (or you’ll just skip the new habit).
Remember, this method is catering to the brain’s built-in system of pattern and routine.
The first few days will be difficult, but with time your new habits will become second nature.
Our challenge to you is to create 1 habit stack and stick to it for at least 7 days.
Good Luck!
